Last two pictures due too a lot more “in the moments”. Stopping to visit Castelul Peleș in Sinaia on my way to Bucharest after visiting Sibiu and Brasov. Headed to the beach in Vama veche after one night in Bucharest only to be stranded with food poisoning. No regrets, only great times and fantastic people.

Needing some peace and quit, I arrived in Breb. The genuine and friendly Maramures village full of old wooden houses.
Took my well needed rest but also went on a full day of mountain biking and hiking to the 1400 m peak, Creasta Cocoşului and experienced a traditional Romanian wedding.

After spending a couple of days in Cluj-Napulca being in the moment and not taking any pictures, I moved on.
My journey led me to the Merry cemetary and the town of Sapanta.

Quiet but energetic city for it’s size. Really cool citadel with star shaped wall and dried up moat, turned into pedestrian and bicycle path.

Most amazing patina I’ve ever seen on plaster and they have the first ever McDonalds walk-through I used.

Partying with the hostel staff, clubbing on a boat and great people.

Met a guy on the bus and got to stay with his family out on the country side for a few days.
Ate alot of home grown vegetables, newly baked bread and just relaxed.

Statehood day, harbour, beaches and great nightlife

Wonderful seaside atmosphere and narrow alleys.
